The program whenever it is closed properly, the next time it is activated always says that there was a problem and that the archives must be restored to a backup. The backup is scheduled every 1 minute. Pulling up all its entries are disappearing in the run-off. I have tested. The associated button is off, both in case of sudden the computer restarts, from both ends activity from task manager every time I always have the same problem: no data which reappears, backup last menu corrupted, all kinds of problems. I use Windows Vista Professional and the program runs as the admin user or by non-administrator, always with the usual problems. This frustrates me a little! What happens? what problems can I have? how do I fix? Thanks anyway for having created this excellent product. I wish I could use!

Okay, I'm not quite sure I'm following this. First of all, doing a backup every minute might be a problem. We recommend that happens once every few hours. And with the utmost respect I have to say that I can't understand the rest of your post at all. Can you break the problem down for me step by step? What happens that you don't expect? Go slowly, one part at a time.

First (1 use case - the more simple)

I do backup every minute to preserve my data. So, now,  you tell me that may be a problem. ok but I've tried before to do it every 2 hours but the result don't change. My data is lost in grindstone (visual) - i don't see nothing of my track activities...
NOTE: If i open the last backup file in notepad i see all my data in your format!

So: every time, for example, i shut down your program correctly (by the appropriate button) or NOT correctly (by kill by task manager to simulate Windows errors), the next time i open it i have ALWAYS the same problem that my data is lost because grindstone tell me that every backup is "broken" and i must contact epiforge to resolve this case.

Also if i close program correctly and shut down my computer and rerun grindstone 2 i have the same problems seen before....

What data is missing? The tasks, the time, or all of it? Because I have a sneaky suspicion I know what's going on here...

I never i've seen my old data.

How i have told before, opening with notepad the backup i've noted that the data is there, sigh!

So, you're saying that every time Grindstone opens the configuration is corrupt? That seems to imply that there's something going on here that we're not aware of. To be honest, I don't think we've ever had this particular problem reported before. To get started investigating, we need a copy of one of these configuration files that Grindstone claims is corrupt. Looking at that may help us to understand how that could be being caused. Please e-mail a config.gsc2 file that Grindstone says is corrupt to cases@epiforge.fogbugz.com. I'll let you know what our findings are.

This was extremely difficult to nail down. It was a very specific and very rare case that required us to debug Grindstone using a foreign language pack that the QA department didn't even have installed. I could go into details, but sufficed to say, it was whacky and reading Microsoft's system documentation, we never expected it.

But, you'll be glad to know it's fixed and on its way in the next release. We even included extra code to correct the errors in your old files automatically. You'll never see this happen again once you have the update. =)
